The Difference Between MDPen’s MicroNeedling Pens

Collagen induction therapy (more commonly known as microneedling) is the process of creating micro-injuries to the skin to stimulate your body’s natural healing process, which involves collagen production in the skin. Collagen is a natural protein that is found in tendons, skin, artery walls, cornea, muscle fibers, fibrocartilage, and parts of your bones and teeth. It is the most abundant protein in mammals and is responsible for holding us together. Furthermore, collagen comes from the Greek “kolla”, meaning “glue” and “gen” is a Greek suffix, which means “producing.” Collagen is thus a glue-producing machine!

Collagen helps to keep your skin elastic, an essential component to the youthfulness of your skin. When your skin tightens, that’s when wrinkles appear. Hence, in microneedling, collagen is stimulated to strengthen, keeping your tissues and fiber elastic and strong so sagging does not ensue.

MDPen produces two microneedling pens: MDPen Dual Cordless/Electric Micro Needling and the MDPen Electric Micro Needling pen. Both pens perform the same function of microneedling. The only real difference is the MDPen Dual Cordless/Electric Micro Needling pen is cordless, allowing the aesthetician or practitioner greater freedom while performing a microneedling procedure.

During a microneedling procedure, the treated area is thoroughly covered as the practitioner utilizes a cross pattern. Depending upon the size of the treated area, a cordless microneedling pen may be more efficient and user-friendly than one that is electric only. The speed of the cordless microneedling procedure potentially could be increased, meaning less time for your patient and less time for the practitioner as well. And in today’s day and age of fast food, delivery, and ordering ahead of time, the sooner things are obtained, the happier the client is.

MDPen, a company specializing in providing practitioners with all the microneedling equipment they need, hopes to make microneedling as convenient as possible for our clients. We created a proprietary line of serums and skin creams specifically for the microneedling practitioner. We offer these skin care products in kits, convenient for both the practitioner and the patient, which contains everything needed for the aftercare of a microneedling procedure.

Also, we created patient brochures for the aesthetician and healthcare professional to hand out to prospective patients, explaining microneedling and its results. And we have a practitioner portal that supports MDPen practitioners of microneedling where support questions can be answered. We also offer training videos and training for those interested in adding microneedling to their practice.

MDPen’s two microneedling pens aim to meet the needs of our practitioners. Order yours today!
