Cooler showers and baths are best and a moisturizer applied directly afterwards while your skin is still moist is one of the best ways to rehydrate your skin.
  • Avoid scratchy clothes. With virtually all of our skin covered in the winter, there is more opportunity to irritate it with scratchy clothing. Choose soft fabrics instead as well as loose clothing that won’t rub your skin.
  • Drink water. Your skin cells can be replenished from the inside-out as well. Avoid caffeine since caffeine can dry out your skin, and alcohol, which is a diuretic and dehydrates you as well. Drink herbal tea, which not only is caffeine-free but most likely contains powerful antioxidants that combat early signs of aging.
