Should Your Practice Have an Instagram?

4999338It is not a question as to whether your practice should be using social media.  Whether you are a cosmetic doctor, dermatologist, esthetician, or plastic surgeon, social media is the quickest way to reach your audience.
But which social media platform is the right choice?
Adding every social media platform will not bring you business but mastering one will.  Instagram is one of social medias largest growing platforms and can help you connect with current patients and engage potential ones by sharing pictures.

Is your target audience on Instagram?

Statistics show that the majority of Instagram users are under the age of 35, will you find your audience on Instagram?  Many users are still over the age of 35.  Are you familiar with your patients being social media savvy?

Is your office staff willing to ‘Insta’?

You may be using a digital marketing agency but your office staff is the ears and eyes of your practice.  They have to be willing to share photos and encourage patients to send photos as well.  For example your office staff should ask your patients to take a “selfie” after a micro needling treatment.

Are you willing to let people see inside your practice?

Instagram allows people to see the team at your office, selfies with the nurses or preparing for surgery. Visual platforms are very humanizing and will build trust with current and prospective patients.
